Here's a recipe for restaurant-style prawns that you can try at home:
Ingredients:
- 500g of large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp of grated ginger
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 tsp of cumin powder
- 1 tsp of coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp of red chili powder (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup of fresh cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Heat the oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for another minute.
Add the diced tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Stir well and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add the prawns and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
Add the fresh cream and stir well.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
