Drain the dal and grind it to a smooth paste with a little water. Add rice flour, salt, cumin seeds, and grated ginger to the dal paste and mix well. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Take a small amount of the dal mixture and shape it into a ball. Flatten it slightly and make a small hole in the center. - 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder

- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and chili powder to the pan and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft and have released their liquid, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the water and let the curry simmer for 10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Season with salt to taste.
